What counts as an emergency?
Active water ingress, structural risk (loose tiles in a storm, leaning chimney), or anything that will get significantly worse overnight. Cosmetic damage or a single slipped tile in dry weather is not an emergency — we'll book it next-day at the standard repair rate.
Is the call-out really free?
Yes. We charge for the stabilisation work itself (from £180 — covers van, materials, ~2 hours on site) and the permanent fix separately. No surcharge for evenings or weekends.
Do you work with my insurer?
Yes — our photo report and itemised quote is suitable for any UK building insurer. We've worked with Aviva, Direct Line, AXA, LV, Hiscox and the major brokers. We don't deal direct with insurers unless you specifically ask.
What if you can't fix it on the night?
Stage 1 is always stabilisation — tarp, patch, stop the water. Permanent fix in daylight is safer, cheaper and properly guaranteed. We never try to do a permanent fix at midnight in driving rain.
