Roofer ladders up, identifies the slipped tile and checks adjacent courses for the cause — usually nail fatigue or batten splitting.
Lift & inspect
Tile lifted, batten and felt underneath checked for rot. If sound, the replacement is bedded back in dry; if not, a felt patch is added.
Re-fix with tingle
Where the nib has snapped, a 0.4mm stainless tingle is hooked over the batten and folded up the front of the tile to lock it in.
Photo sign-off
Two photos sent on WhatsApp — one tight on the fix, one wide on the slope — before payment is taken.
