Moss looks like a cosmetic issue but it's actually the fastest way to wear out a concrete tile — it holds water against the surface and freeze/thaw spalls the top off. We never jet-wash a roof (it lifts the protective sand layer); instead we hand-scrape with plastic blades, then soft-wash with a long-life biocide that keeps regrowth down for three winters.

A pressure washer strips the sand-faced protective layer off concrete tiles — gaining you a clean roof but losing 10 years of tile life. We only ever hand-scrape.
How long does the biocide last?
Three full UK winters before any visible regrowth, and we guarantee it in writing. After year three you can either re-apply or have us soft-wash again at a discount.
Will the biocide kill my plants?
No — we use plant-safe DDAC-based biocide and sheet down before application. We've never had a planting issue in 12 years of use.
