Surface sanded with 80-grit on an orbital sander to remove silvered fibres.
Clean
Swept off, washed with a mild detergent, left to dry completely (2 hours).
First coat
Stain brushed on with the grain — flooded into end-grain and saturated.
Second coat
Second coat applied once first is touch-dry for full UV and water protection.
